Convocation 3.0: Former Ambassadors and Special Guests Gather to Discuss the Future of North American Relations
The current Ambassador of Mexico to the United States, former ambassadors from the United States to Mexico and from Mexico to the US, and special guests from Canada came together from April 27-30, 2023, for Convocation 3.0, a program led by the U.S.-Mexico Foundation and the Woodrow Wilson Center's Mexico Institute. The program aimed to foster discussion on the present and future of the North American relationship and explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership.
The four-day event included discussions and workshops on critical issues such as Security & Rule of Law, Soft Power & Culture, Economy, Migration & Labor Mobility, and Agriculture & Food Security. These topics allowed former ambassadors and special guests to share their expertise and insights and explore potential solutions and strategies. The outcome of these discussions will be compiled into a report to be made public in due course.
As part of the program, participants also visited HP and Oracle, two prominent technology companies located in Silicon Valley. These visits provided insights into the latest developments in the tech industry and their potential impact on the North American economy and workforce.
